ProFootballinsight’s Fantasy Football Week 12 Early Injury Report
Two weeks left before the playoffs in standard league play. There is no room for making careless errors on who you start and sit. Check on PFI’s Start Em and Sit Em article on Tuesday. Aside from who to start and sit, make sure your starters are actually going to be on the football field and not on the bench.

Will Reggie Bush play Monday night versus the Patriots?
This week, major player injuries and their status include;
1. Ben Roethlisberger-Questionable. Ben left last weeks game late with a concussion, and has not been named a starter for week 12 and his status will not be determined until he passes his neurological testing. The Steelers are not in a good place for Ben to miss any time due to back up Charlie Batch not being available after sustaining a wrist injury last week. Look for Ben’s status to clear up later in the week.
2. Kurt Warner-Probable. Warner is listed as probable with concussion like symptoms. He will undergo testing as a formality, but is expected to start this week.
3. Michael Turner-Questionable. Turner did not play last week at all, and was replaced by Jason Snelling, who performed well in his absence. Snelling’s performance gave the Falcons options versus forcing Turner back before he is ready. Turner has not yet been declared out for this week, but I would be shocked to see him on the field this early.
4. Cedric Benson-Questionable. Benson missed last week’s game, and his current status is “day to day.” Look for a decision late in the week on Benson’s availability.
5. Ronnie Brown-Injured Reserve. Kiss Brown goodbye as he underwent season ending surgery on his foot last Friday. Look for Ricky Williams dominance to continue in Brown’s absence.
6. Matthew Stafford-Questionable. After exploding on the Browns for a rookie record 5 touchdown passes in a game, Stafford injured his shoulder in the process. Stafford’s shoulder is in tact, but none the less will most likely not play this Thursday.
7. Brandon Jacobs-Questionable. Jacobs left last weeks game and did not return after injuring his right knee. Jacobs status for this week has not yet been determined.
8. Reggie Bush-Questionable. Bush, who missed all of last week’s game, is expected to play Monday night against the Patriots.
9. Clinton Portis-Out. Clinton’s status for week 12 has already been declared as out and might be available in week 13.
10. Ladell Betts-Injured Reserve. After playing great football, Betts after only 4 carried damaged both his ACL and his MCL in his left knee. With both Betts and Portis out, look for Rock Cartwright to pick up their carries, or attempt to.

whats the status on jones in seattle?
ive got forsett ready to go if not ill go back to mccoy in philly to take the spot
Eddie,
Thanks for the question. The cat is not out of the bag on Jones yet. Regardless, even at 100%, Forsett will steal carries from Jones, especially after the release E. James. McCoy is the feature back right now in Philly and I feel he is a better play and has more upside than Forsett does.

ryan grant is listed as probable for thursdays game, have you heard anything on his status? i know they have a short week and play a weak detroit team,i’d hate to see them sit him.a friend of mine was curious about larry johnson and his possible role this week?
Hi Bill,
Thanks for the question. Ryan Grant is a go by everything that I have seen so far. My concern is that once Green Bay takes a commanding lead, Grant may be rested if not 100%. Larry Johnson is rumored to receive more carries, but to what degree is purely speculation. Benson may be back as soon as Week 13, which will handcuff Johnson’s carries. I would not start Johnson until the Bengals commit carries to him on a weekly basis.
