Rich Rodriguez, Please give Michigan Wolverines Fans a Win over Ohio State
Dear Rich Rodriguez, the University of Michigan players, alumni and fans have been dying for a win over the hated Ohio State Buckeyes. Please give us a win in what is clearly a “trap game” for the Buckeyes this Saturday, November 21, 2009 at 12pm in Ann Arbor. The Buckeyes have secured a Rose Bowl appearance and the Big 10 Championship. With all of that in the bag before this game…. You never know.
For Michigan, a win would give them a .500 record, as they are currently 5-6, with only one Big 10 victory. The Wolverines should throw everything they have into this game that they have available in their playbooks!

Not that I am counting, but the Wolverines are currently on a five game losing streak to the Buckeyes, and have not won since their victory on November 22, 2003. The Wolverines were ranked 4th, and the Buckeyes were ranked 6th. Michigan won 35 to 21, as countless current NFL players were involved in this game. For Michigan, Chris Perry carried the load with 154 yards on 31 carries and 2 TD’s in addition to 55 receiving yards. Michigan QB John Navarre threw for 278 yards, 2 TD’s and a pick, and Braylon Edwards had 7 grabs, 130 yards and 2 TD’s. The Buckeyes had Craig Krenzel and Scott McMullen at QB, but the stars of the show for the Buckeyes were NFL wide-outs Michael Jenkins and Santonio Holmes. Jenkins had 132 yards receiving, as Holmes had 121 yards and 2 TD’s.
Since 2003, the Wolverines have failed miserably against the Buckeyes, as seen below;
2004-Michigan at Ohio State – Buckeyes Won 37-21
2005-Ohio State at Michigan – Buckeyes Won 25-21
2006-Michigan at Ohio State – Buckeyes Won 42-39
2007-Ohio State at Michigan – Buckeyes Won 14-3
2008-Michigan at Ohio State – Buckeyes Won 42-7
Last year, Rich Rodriguez referred to the Ohio State game as “just a game.” This game is so much more than a game Coach, and here is why. If you lose this game, no one will care that you won 2 more games than last year, or that Tate Forcier shows flashes of brilliance, or how close you were in countless games this season. They will remember that your defense falls apart in the 4th quarter, that we were molested by the rest of the Big 10 this year, that the Wolverines have not been bowl eligible in 2 years, and we have now lost to Ohio State six consecutive years!
A win over Ohio State will be a savior to this season. You will have ended on an incredible note, you will be .500 against the hated Buckeyes, you will be .500 on the year, and the momentum you will have going into next year will be tremendous. Clearly, this is more than a game.
I do not care what you have to do to get this win. If you have a play where Denard Robinson is lined up as a wide receiver, and Tate throws him a pass behind the line of scrimmage, then Robinson throws a pass to Forcier for a touchdown, so be it! If you have to run triple option reverses where the fullback throws a pass to anyone for a touchdown, do it. Throw the entire playbook at the Buckeyes, win this game, and begin your legacy with this game as the head coach of the Michigan Wolverines!
As of Monday, November 16, 2009, BetUS.com has the Wolverines as 12 1/2 point underdogs, with the over/under not yet set.

The man, he came from WVU,
His job, to coach the maize and blue,
The fans now debate,
What should be his fate,
It appears he hasn’t a clue.
In Ann Arbor is Rodriguez, Rich,
Too bad he can’t find his niche,
Screams night and day,
When things don’t go his way,
Not beating the Bucks is a &itch.
Desperation is a dirty dog!!! As long as i am your little brother and friend…..The only way i see this becoming a rivalry again, is for michigan to fire rodriguez. he doesn’t fit. he’s gonna catch an ass beating this year. and your gonna get another f*cked up phone call, fyi, i’ll be in town. love ya bro. make sure that box of tissues is close.
I still root for maize and blue until the end! True fans have faith in UM! Our QB is a freshmen, he’s done pretty well, and next year he will do even better!

I think the circumstances upon which Rich came and Lloyd left has tainted this current coaching staff and program. Michigan needs a home grown not an overrated, glorified spread offensive coach. That’s not the Michigan I’ve know and grown to dislike very much. I’m a Buckeye through and through but even I can see tht this is not Michigan.
